The Center for Hope for Women, Infants and Children provides state of the art, gender specific programming for up to 24 pregnant women with a history of substance abuse and who are in need of a safe and structured living environment for themselves and their children.

The Center for Hope is focused on achieving sustained recovery for both mother and children is characterized by: abstinence from drugs of abuse; family stability; stable mental and physical health; positive child development and healthy behaviors.

The Center for Hope’s treatment philosophy is that women experience better outcomes when treated at a gender-specific, holistic treatment program that meets not only the their substance abuse and mental health treatment needs, but also provides a host of gender-specific services that lead to fuller community involvement and integration. The Center for Hope’s services are designed around an evidence-based, bio-psycho-social-spiritual model of treatment.

Criteria for admission:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be pregnant
  • Have a history of substance abuse
  • Desire recovery assistance
  • May have one additional child up to four years old

The Campus

The newly constructed 20,000 square foot campus is located in Mesa, Arizona, and consists of three wings (cottages), each symbolizing a cornerstone of the road to recovery (Faith, Hope, and Courage). There are eight bedrooms in each cottage, a shared living room, and light utility kitchen.

The campus has a central restaurant style kitchen and dining area where three full meals are prepared and served each day. Other amenities include an on-site child developmentcenter, a multi-purpose activity room, a playground area, a laundry room and meeting rooms for support groups and educational classes. All of the necessary services and activities for the health and welfare of the mother and her children are self-contained within the protected environment of the Center for Hope.
