Kristen’s community efforts played a key role in helping to secure nearly four million dollars for the construction of CBI’s Center for Hope, a long-term residential campus where recovery from addiction and behavioral health problems are the cornerstone of integrated programs, designed to help in the delivery of healthy babies, parenting/life
skills, education and family reintegration for 24 pregnant women and 32 children.
Kristen has a strong commitment to the Valley of the Sun United Way and was recognized for her tireless efforts by being presented the Valley of the Sun United Way Speaker of the Year Award in 2003. She is also an active member of Rotary
International. Her dedication to prevention also affords her the opportunity to travel nationally to train school districts and community groups in best practice prevention programs for Tanglewood Research based in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Kristen’s passion outside of work revolves around her husband and two sons, practicing yoga, and training for half marathons.
