Kimberly has been employed with Community Bridges since 2004, when she relocated to the Phoenix area from Montana. Kimberly was originally hired to work as a Primary Counselor in what was then Community Bridges newest program, Center for Hope. Prior to joining Community Bridges she left the position of Program Coordinator at Rimrock Foundation in Billings, MT. where she assisted in the development and implementation of a nationally recognized program for drug dependent women with children. While at Rimrock Foundation, Kimberly also assisted in the implementation of Yellowstone County Family Drug Treatment Court, the first of its kind in Montana. Kimberly’s experience includes many "firsts" and innovations in addiction treatment, including employment with the Methamphetamine Treatment Project for the Federal Center on Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT). In this project she provided intensive therapy services, including individual, group, and psycho- educational therapy modalities to individuals with methamphetamine addiction who were enrolled in the research project.

In 2004 ,when Kimberly joined the Community Bridges team Center for Hope had not opened its door and was in preparation stages for its first participant in January of 2005. In March of 2005, Kimberly was promoted to Clinical Director and in July of the same year, she accepted the position of Program Director. The Center for Hope program is the first of its kind in the state of Arizona. This unique program offers a best practice treatment modality to pregnant and postpartum women with co-occurring disorders. As Program Director Kimberly’s primary responsibly was to maintain the integrity of the best practice model as it was implemented. A large majority of the women entering the program at CFH additionally struggle with addiction to Methamphetamine. Kimberly experience in program implementation as well her clinical background working with Methamphetamine addiction assisted in the implementation of a best practice model that not only takes into consideration gender specific issues, but also incorporates evidenced based research relating to the brain chemistry of individuals recovering from Methamphetamine Addiction.

In August of 2008, Kimberly was promoted to Vice President of Women’s and Children’s Programs. In this position, Kimberly will focus her efforts to expanding the services offered to Center for Hope Alumni and their children. Service expansion will include implementation of a permanent housing program as well as gender specific outpatient programming. As a part of the Community Bridges team Kimberly will additionally assist in the oversight and implementation of best practice treatment models for women and children across the state of Arizona.

Kimberly has over 10 years of professional experience in the addiction field. She is licensed in the state of Arizona and Montana. Kimberly’s educational background includes an Associate Degree in Alcohol and Drug Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She plans to complete her Master’s degree while continuing to utilize her professional experience in program implementation, development and design.
