Associate Vice President of Finance
DeAnn Miller-Heyer recently joined Community Bridges in the role of Associate Vice President of Finance and Business Services. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance/CFO, DeAnn is responsible for maintaining strong financial controls to safeguard the company assets, producing internal and external financial statements and reports, ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and management of accounting functions and staff. She will assist the CFO in proving leadership and coordination in accounting, finance, administrative, business planning and budgeting work of the company and also oversee Claims Administration and Facility Services. She will provide critical financial insight and strategic support to the CFO as the agency continues to grow and evolve.
Before joining CBI, she spent seven years at AIMS Insurance in Scottsdale, Arizona where her responsibilities as Vice President of Finance and Administration included performing all financial, administration, compliance and reporting functions for the agency. She began her career and served in positions of increasing responsibility for 18 years in Underwriting, Accounting and Reinsurance with Milwaukee Insurance and Legion Insurance Company, both in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
DeAnn is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and has earned the certification from the Institute of Management Accountant of Certified Management Accountant. She is a member of the Arizona CPA Society as well as the Institute of Management Accountants. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
